Prairieland Market, located in Salina, Kansas, sells a range of farm-fresh, Kansas-made foods including meats, cheeses, seasonal fruits and vegetables, and baked goods. National Technical College Signing Day was on April 20. The day is designed to honor students who are entering a technical field and to celebrate the dignity of their work. I sat down with director of the Salina Tech Foundation, Brenda Gutierrez to talk about the signing event and a $1.8 million grant awarded to Salina Tech by the Kansas Department of Commerce.
The grant will fund roughly half of the cost of its new 15,00 square-foot building which will house the new Industrial Maintenance and Automation program. Find out more on this episode of King in the Community.
